Not a One-Off Event

Thank you to those that have contacted me today about my “Meet Me in the Park” event next Wednesday, June 1st at Heritage Park. I look forward to the interaction with this communities stakeholders…parents, students, teachers, paraeducators, support staff…anyone that has an influence over the outcomes of our students.

One point I want to make, though. This meeting in the park is not a one-off event. It is one of the few “promises” I will make during this campaign. My promise is to have four-time yearly community gatherings where we can all come together to discuss where we we’ve been, where we are, and where we need to go. I think it is important to meet face-to-face, to put a face and a voice to a name. That said, I will ALWAYS be available via email and Facebook messaging. The only way I can truly represent constituents’ views is to communicate with constituents using the channel that they are most comfortable with.

I really am looking forward to meeting, seeing, and interacting with anyone that desires to express an opinion and wants to have a say in what we are going to accomplish here in Romoland School District.

Meet Me in the Park

I will be available for face-to-face conversations about my candidacy and to talk about your questions and concerns on Wednesday, June 1st from 5 pm to 7 pm at Heritage Park on the corner of Heritage Lake Drive and McCall Boulevard. Please feel free to drop by for some candid conversation. There will be adult supervision in the play area, so feel free to bring your children. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Absentee Voter Guide

Unsure about how to correctly mark your ballot? It’s a one question quiz. The answer key is shown below. Feel free to copy onto your own paper.

A gentle reminder…I am the only candidate endorsed by the two organizations that represent more than 94% of the employees of Romoland School District. These are the teachers and staff that your children have direct contact with on a daily basis. If they believe that I am best suited to represent the stakeholders of this community, I hope you will too.

Am I Registered To Vote?

How do you tell if you are registered to vote? It’s a simple check. Go to https://www.voteinfo.net/AmIRegistered/ and enter your date of birth and either the last four digits of your Social Security Number or the last four digits of your driver’s license number. If you are registered, you will see your information appear in the box.

The address that appears in the search results should be your current address. If it is not, you will need to register again using your current address. Not to worry, though…that is easily accomplished by taking five minutes and going to http://registertovote.ca.gov/

If your information is not found, try using the last four digits of the OTHER ID number you didn’t try in the first search. If that produces no results, then there is no harm in registering again. Just go to http://registertovote.ca.gov/ and get signed up. The deadline to register is tomorrow, Monday, May, 23, 2016. Exercise your rights as a citizen on June 7th…check your voter registration today!
