How to Help

As our campaign continues to gain interest and momentum, I am receiving an increasing number of messages asking ‘how can I help?’ Based on that question, our site has added a How to Help page, a one-stop place to answer this question. Your participation in one or more of the activities listed on this page will go a long way in securing an election victory on June 7th. We thank everyone that is working hard for this campaign, and look forward to others joining us.

Humbling, But Ready for the Challenge

I so much appreciate the votes of confidence I have received to date from the 100 individuals and two organizations that have chosen to fill-out the form at www.debbiemoon.net/endorsements. The vote of confidence from the two organizations that represent more than 94% of the employees of our district is inspiring, but what is truly humbling is the 100 individuals that have chosen to put their name out there, for all to see. I am grateful to everyone that is behind this campaign, and behind my single message to represent ALL stakeholders that I am tasked to represent.

I am not seeking an appointment to this board, but rather an election by the people. All of the people of this community, this Trustee Area, should have a say in who represents them. Your vote is the expression of “who.” You can make that happen. None of us will ever get all we want, but I believe most of us will at least be comfortable in knowing that our voices WILL be heard. Your vote for me on June 7th (or before if you are an absentee voter) will guarantee that voice.

Not a One-Off Event

Thank you to those that have contacted me today about my “Meet Me in the Park” event next Wednesday, June 1st at Heritage Park. I look forward to the interaction with this communities stakeholders…parents, students, teachers, paraeducators, support staff…anyone that has an influence over the outcomes of our students.

One point I want to make, though. This meeting in the park is not a one-off event. It is one of the few “promises” I will make during this campaign. My promise is to have four-time yearly community gatherings where we can all come together to discuss where we we’ve been, where we are, and where we need to go. I think it is important to meet face-to-face, to put a face and a voice to a name. That said, I will ALWAYS be available via email and Facebook messaging. The only way I can truly represent constituents’ views is to communicate with constituents using the channel that they are most comfortable with.

I really am looking forward to meeting, seeing, and interacting with anyone that desires to express an opinion and wants to have a say in what we are going to accomplish here in Romoland School District.

Absentee Voter Guide

Unsure about how to correctly mark your ballot? It’s a one question quiz. The answer key is shown below. Feel free to copy onto your own paper.

Voter Guide Answer Key

A gentle reminder…I am the only candidate endorsed by the two organizations that represent more than 94% of the employees of Romoland School District. These are the teachers and staff that your children have direct contact with on a daily basis. If they believe that I am best suited to represent the stakeholders of this community, I hope you will too.
